🧮 Golden Calc - User Guide

Welcome to Golden Calc by RDroid Apps!

Here's how to use the advanced scientific calculator and unit converter:

1️⃣ Basic Calculator Operations

Tap number buttons (0-9) and decimal point (.) for input.
Use basic operators: + (add), - (subtract), × (multiply), ÷ (divide).
Press "=" to calculate or see live results as you type.
Use "C" to clear the current expression.
Use "⌫" (backspace) to delete the last character.

2️⃣ Scientific Functions

π (Pi): Insert the mathematical constant π (3.14159...).
√ (Square Root): Calculate square root of a number. Tap √ then number, or wrap selection with √().
^ (Power): Raise a number to a power. Example: 2^3 = 8.
! (Factorial): Calculate factorial of a number. Example: 5! = 120.
% (Percentage): Calculate percentages. Example: 50% = 0.5.
() Parentheses: Group expressions for correct order of operations.

3️⃣ Unit Converter

Tap the "Unit Converter" button to switch to conversion mode.
Select category: Length, Area, Temperature, Volume, Mass, Data, Speed, Time, Energy, Power, Pressure, Frequency, or Storage.
Choose "From" unit and "To" unit from the dropdowns.
Enter value in the input field - conversion happens automatically.
Use "↔" (swap) button to reverse the conversion direction.

4️⃣ Calculation History

Tap the "History" button to view all previous calculations.
Each entry shows the expression and result in format: expression = result.
Long press on any text to select it for copying.
Use "Select" option in context menu to select entire line.
Use "Clear" option to delete selected text or entire history.
History is saved locally and may retain a limited number of recent entries across sessions.

5️⃣ Smart Input Features

Live Calculation: See results as you type without pressing "=".
Tap to Select: Tap any word/number in expression to select it for easy editing.
Selection-aware Insertion: New symbols are inserted at cursor or replace selection.
Implicit Multiplication: Automatically adds × between numbers and functions (e.g., 2√9 becomes 2*√9).
Error Handling: Invalid expressions show "Error" instead of crashing.

💡 Advanced Tips & Tricks

Use parentheses for complex expressions: (2+3)×(4-1)
Combine multiple operations: √(25) + 3^2 - 10%
For temperature conversions, note that °F and °C conversions go through Kelvin internally.
Data storage units support both decimal (KB=1000) and binary (KiB=1024) prefixes.
Use the history feature to review complex calculations or copy results for reuse.
You can edit previous calculations by selecting text in history and copying back to calculator.

6️⃣ Common Formulas & Examples

Area of Circle:

π × r^2

(where r is radius)

Pythagorean Theorem:

√(a^2 + b^2)

(hypotenuse calculation)

Compound Interest:

P × (1 + r/100)^t

(where P=principal, r=rate, t=time)

Temperature Conversion:

(°F - 32) × 5/9

(Fahrenheit to Celsius)
